Temporary Forum for the discussion of the restoration of the WereList.
Hoping that you admin-folks still check here. I try to log on, I get the "welcome Oblivian for logging in" or something, then I'm back at the log-in screen. Tried in both Opera and IE, doesn't work. Why's this kind of thing always happen when you really want to post about something? xD ...
The site is still intact, but due to a DNS propagation error from somewhere upstream on the router system, you can't get there from here. We apologize for the temporary outage and are working as quickly as possible to make the site available. Clarification and updates will be forthcoming here...
http://group.yahoo.com/group/werelist Invitations to the group have just gone out to everyone who has, according to the database, logged in to Werelist since 5/21/08. The group is intended to be primarily an announcement list to keep people up to date while the site is offline, though it is...
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/werelist-admin/ I have invited some of you on more than one email address; please subscribe with whichever one is convenient. This is intended as a low traffic discussion group to be used only when the site is down, glitched or offline for technical maintenance. ...
Isn't it quite possible atm? How do I? :-?
Werelist seems to be having some technical issues, apparently at the ISP level. Orca's in the middle of a move, and will contact them about it as soon as he's free to. This might mean a week or two of downtime. It might get fixed sooner- the other two sites on the servers we're on are down too, but...
I've a question about the new site's registration. I did not see this covered anywhere else so... Sorry if it has been covered. But, I tried to register about 24+ hours ago and it said that an e-mail had been sent to the e-mail address I provided.. However, I have yet to receive it. Is it an...
Apparently some users are having issues with DNS... It should be fixed in a week or two i think, but i'd like to know how common it is. I've heard of at least one case of it. Any error messages would be helpful as well.
Thanks to coyote's timely response, werelist is now online. I think. Can someone poke it? :tmm:
Well, sorry to say, guys, but because Coyote isn't responding, it looks like this whole effort is going to hell, even though the software itself is actually complete already. I am packing for a very long expedition, and don't really have time to wait with put werelist online anymore. It's not...

http://community.livejournal.com/werelist/6841.html STUFF TO BE CODED The forum needs to be: Just a table of posts, really. All other things like profile, logging on/off, usergroups, memberlist etc should be removed. Those must be handled by drupal. User title - can we improve on the...
The front page needs to look something like this: A left sidebar. A big-link navigation bar, Preferably below a header. A general front article section. A footer below the article section. It may have a right sidebar for polls, recent posts, etc. The forum needs to look like this: A left...
A few of you know, that I am, and have been EXTREMELY sick the past two weeks. My work is behind, I haven't been able to sleep at reasonable times, etc. etc. and it's only now that I have gotten the chance to think about this and say anything. So, someone else will need to take over PHPbb and...
STUFF TO DO DATA ENTRY ON The wiki needs to have: * General policy and discussion articles (There was a article on fallacies I *LOVED*) * Guides and technical help articles * News/general interest articles to put on front page * Disambiguation and clarification articles...
:!: I'll shut up now. Your turn, folks. Dis Cuss. And, thank you, Jakkal. This'd really work out nicely.
Draft timeline 0) Testing of various combinations of drupal (or other CMSs) and forums -Drupal is relatively unknown. It might not even be the best option, so some tech-savvy research could be done here. A forum that can cater to our needs must also be picked. -Sherlawk and awsweden are on...

Dec. 2nd, 2007 http://community.livejournal.com/werelist/6308.html Yeah, Coyote is kinda stepping down, but I still think he should have a major, if not final, say on things, even if he has decided to withdraw the majority of his time and effort, since he has been the sole person in charge of...
